Roasted Balsamic Brussels Sprouts

Time
Prep Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins Total Time: 30 mins
Cooking Temp 425  °F
Ingredients
  • 1-2 lb Brussels Sprouts (Cut in half)
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • Cooked Bacon (Optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425.

  2. Cut the ends off your sprouts.  (remember to save these for the compost - as well as any bad leaves from the sprouts)

  3. Cut the sprouts in half and sprinkle with salt & pepper.  (use your best judgment on how much you want to use.  It's best to use less than you think because you can always add more later if necessary)

  4. Mix together your olive oil, balsamic vinegar and honey.

  5. If you are using bacon (which is completely optional) Mix your bacon grease into the olive oil mixture at this point.

  6. Drizzle your mixture over the sprouts or toss them together in a bowl before placing in your baking dish.  Either method works.  Just make sure you get all the sprouts coated really well.

  7. At this point you can add your crumbled bacon into the sprouts mixture if you are choosing to use it.

  8. Line your baking sheet with aluminum foil.  This not only makes it easier to clean.  But I believe it helps the sprouts get a little crispier as well.

  9. Place in your preheated oven for 20 minutes.  Around the 10 minute mark you will want to toss the sprouts around a little bit and then let them continue roasting for another 10 minutes.
